This article explains how to generate a new return label for an existing return request (RMA), where to find the option, and when it may be useful.
How to create a new return label
All submitted returns (RMAs) include the option to generate a new return label.
- Open the relevant RMA.
- Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
- Select Create new label.
When generating the new label, you can choose whether it should be sent directly to the customer. Enable or disable this option depending on your situation.
What happens when creating a new label
When you create a new return label, Reversio generates a new label using the same carrier and return information already associated with the return, and connects it to the RMA.
Creating a new label does not change:
- The selected carrier Return settings Return destination
- Any information submitted by the customer
The new label simply replaces the previous one and allows the customer to continue the return process.
When to use it
Creating a new return label can be useful in several situations, including:
- The customer can no longer find their original return label.
- The original label has expired.
- The original label was accidentally deleted.
- The original label was never received due to email delivery issues.
Note: If the original label is still valid, you can also download the existing label from the RMA ny click Show in Shipping section and send it to the customer manually instead of generating a new one.
